I need a list of settings and configurations for IIS 6.0 to optimize
downloading. I am running a server on a Windows Domain, with a
userbase of over 1200 people downloading large files of between
300mb-700mb. At the moment download reliability is poor, with only
about 20% of downloads being completed. The 2 most common messages are
"Connection with server timed out", and "Connection with server was
reset".
A friend has suggested that optimizing the configuration of IIS will
solve this problem, but doesn't know exactly exactly how to do this. I
