Zetia is the trade name under which Merck, Inc. and Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals market their cholesterol-lowering drug generically known as ezetimibe. Zetia works differently than other commonly used statin drugs for lowering cholesterol by inhibiting absorption of cholesterol at the small intestine. This causes a reduction of hepatic cholesterol stores and an increase in clearance of cholesterol from the blood. Consultants Greentarget recently released a study and survey of how in-house corporate general counsels are using new media, including blogs, and social media.  As this has been of interest to me, and should be to other appraisers, it is always good to gather information on how others professionals are using New Media. Unpatched Windows XP-related hole exploited in attacks
Malicious hackers were found to be exploiting a hole on Tuesday affecting Windows XP that a Google researcher disclosed last week before Microsoft had a chance to fix it, the software giant confirmed. There was "limited exploitation" of the unpatched vulnerability, Jerry Bryant, group manager for response communications at Microsoft, said in an e-mail statement.
