George Burley looking monumentally confused, like a pensioner who has taken the wrong bus and, upon alighting in the middle of nowhere, noticed they still have their slippers on Graph Plotting with guardian.co.uk: Remember those victories over France and the really strong showing in the Euro 2008 Group of Death quailfiers? Well, there are trends you can extrapolate skywards, and then there are blips. And I'm fearing the worst. Then again, there's Chris Iwelumo. The Wolves target man, likely to make his international debut today, got sent off in his last match, for Wolverhampton Wanderers at Preston North End. He had, ...

WSOP Main Event Day 1A: From out of the fog a familiar face ...
It's the end of day 1A and to be blunt, there's not a lot we can tell you about it. In a tournament room so vast, filled with more than a thousand players, it's not always obvious who's doing the winning and who the losing. Instead, the World Series Main Event forces you to wait for a natural order to take over. You cannot rush this tournament. It's one to be savoured. We're only a quarter of the way through the day ones and the leaders from tonight could easily pale into insignificance after the three more flights to come have finished tearing their own trail of carnage through the Amazon Room. Religious identification in the U.S.
"The proportion of the [American] population that can be classified as Christian has declined from 86% in 1990 to 77% in 2001 . " ARIS Study, 2001. 4  (It reached 76.0% in 2008)   The 2008 findings confirm the conclusions we came to in our earlier studies that Americans are slowly becoming less Christian and that in recent decades the challenge to Christianity in American society does not come from other world religions or new religious movements (NRMs) but rather from a rejection of all organized religions." NOAA Technical Memorandum NWS AR-44
One of the major objectives of this project was to probe the users in regard to interpretation and understanding of the terminology used in NWS forecasts, including the probability of precipitation (POP) statement. Many other researchers (Sink 1993; Vislocky et al. 1995; Last and Skowronski 1990; Shaefer and Livingston 1988; Murphy and Brown 1983b; Murphy et al. 1980) have underscored both the positive and negative aspects of POP forecasts. The idea behind the usage of a percentage to describe the probability of precipitation is a sound one. It should be logical to almost everyone that a 40% chance of rain is much less ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

Why We Rooted for the U.S.
Hua's note: Weeks ago, the casual World Cup watcher did not need a principled reason to back the team in green over the team in blue. A friend who once studied abroad in Paraguay and had a good time? EMBOSS: cutgextract
will calculate codon usage tables for individual species (e.g. EHomo_sapiens.cut) and place them in the CODONS subdirectory of the EMBOSS data directory. This is an all-or-nothing extraction; it will create many files and take several minutes. The usage tables are calculated from the sum of codons over all sequences for each organism. cutgextract looks in the specified directory and opens all the files with the extension '.codon'. These are all expected to be CUTG data files. It then parses out the codon usage data and writes one file per species into the EMBOSS data/CODONS directory. The names of the files are ...

In writing, what is a "qualifier"? - Yahoo! Answers
I've seen definitions, but not very many examples. Could someone explain it and give me some examples? It's driving me insane. Why am I told not to use them? Why are they bad? 2 years ago very, somewhat, quite. Something that adds quality to a word...so there is a spectrum of good to bad, small to big...etc. usually adj or adv. You're told not to use them because it's lazy writing. The word itself should be enough to describe the intensity you want to communicate. Rather than saying it's very bad...you could say it's catastrophic. Asker's Rating: Asker's Comment:
Excel: How to add keywords with quotes?
For some reason, copying and pasting a list of (partial match) keywords in Column A doesn't work. It strips the quotes out, leaving broad matching keywords. Being new to Excel, perhaps I'm not doing it correctly. Is there a certain way to paste keywords in quotes? Never mind, I found out a work-around. Apparently, you have to copy the list of partial match keywords from a MICROSOFT application like Word (wordpad and notepad do not work), then paste it into Excel. If copying from another application, this is how you can preserve the quotes: 1. After pasting, a little clipboard will appear at the bottom of the paste. ...
